Qualification and Educational Objectives of the Module:

Fremdsprache Englisch
The qualification objectives correspond to Level A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1 following the criteria of the common European reference level for Languages (GERS). Expand the student’s knowledge of English as a Foreign Language based on his individual level when starting the course. Being able to communicate in a chosen subject area while using basic to advanced grammatical structure. Learning and practicing English as a Foreign Language on the basis of a GERS entry self-evaluation.

International Management
This module focuses on the ongoing internationalization of product and service markets. Students will gain an understanding of the interconnectedness of markets and the challenges and opportunities that companies have to face today. The course introduces into economic, organizational and cultural concepts underlying global business operations. Students will gain insight into particularities of internationalization processes. Based on the study script with a range of cases, and online seminars students will develop an understanding of corporate and functional strategies in the context of globalization. They will know in how far globalization and internationalization strategies affect the organizational structures and value creation of global firms. This module includes an optional international field trip (specific conditions apply).
